Be they national heroes, mothers, intellectuals or fashion icons, women's contributions to the Vietnamese nation and society are told beautifully through well-organized text and audiovisual imagery.

Located in central Hanoi, this museum was founded in 1987 as an entity within the Vietnam Women's Union. From family to history and finally fashion, each floor of the Vietnamese Women's Museum represents a dimension of women's life in Vietnam.

You'll find the Vietnamese Women's Museum on Ly Thuong Kiet about 1km south of Hanoi's central Hoan Kiem Lake. The museum's display area of over 2000 square meters exhibits more than 25,000 objects and documents that mirror the diversity of Vietnam's culture and the contributions of its women to the country's society and ongoing development. Browse a diverse selection of items including propaganda posters, jewellery, home-made lamps and harvest baskets. In addition to its exhibits, Vietnamese Women's Museum hosts public education seminars, mobile exhibitions, conferences and workshops.
